How do you prepare your pitch to a Supplier Diversity Officer or Procurement Specialist at a Corporation or Municipality? Have you ever heard of a Capabilities Statement?

This workshop will explore the different terminologies within Supplier Diversity and prepare attendees to position themselves to be ready to pitch their businesses.

We will review the key essentials to be included on a capabilities statement and practice a few pitches.
This workshop is Part One of a three part LGBTBE Certification series at GSBA:

Oct 12 | Business Literacy Series: LGBTBE Certification 101
Oct 23 | Capabilities Statement and How to Present to a Supplier Diversity Team
Oct 31 | I'm Certified, Now What?

The National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce (NGLCC) is the official certifying body for this certification. The $400 certification fee is waived for GSBA members.

NGLCC offers certification to LGBT business enterprises (LGBTBEs), as well as a host of opportunities to enhance your visibility to corporations seeking to do business with LGBT suppliers. Corporations can search for certified LGBTBEs through its exclusive LGBT supplier database, as well as meet face-to-face with potential suppliers at NGLCC matchmaking events, which are held across the country throughout the year. Certified LGBTBEs may also be eligible for scholarship programs, mentorship, and leadership training, and other business development tools to help you grow.
