Are you looking for ways to get involved in the community and to expand your professional and social networks?
Young Professionals with Pride (YPP) events are an excellent way to meet civic and community leaders, build relationships with other LGBT and allied professionals (21-39), and to take advantage of opportunities to increase personal and professional networks through social, educational, and philanthropic activities. YPP is open to all industries, from tech to corporate to the nonprofit sector, all are welcome! A priority of YPP, is to be inclusive of everyone’s professional experiences and to build bridges between all identities of the LGBTQ and Allied communities.
This month's featured nonprofit is Ventures,
an organization that empowers individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership.
If you would like the opportunity to promote your business during YPP, please contact us

Ventures mission is to empower individuals with limited resources and unlimited potential to improve their lives through small business ownership. They serve low-income individuals who face barriers to living wage employment; their average client supports a family of three on $23,000 per year. Of the 800 entrepreneurs they serve each year, 70% are women, 65% are people of color and 30% participate in their Spanish language program. Over the past twenty-three years, Ventures has helped more than 7,000 small business owners across the region become financially independent by providing comprehensive business development services such as training, coaching, microlending and incubation. Ventures recently received the Puget Sound Business Journal’s Innovation Award for their retail store incubator in Pike Place Market and has been a proud member of the GSBA since 2016.
