Many people are finding a new interest in becoming involved in the political process. Every day you get emails and notifications to 'contact your representatives' about any number of pressing issues. But is your message getting through? How can you help get the right information to your elected official? Is there a difference between calls, emails, handwritten letters, and showing up in person? What does a legislative assistant do and why should you be extra nice to them?

If you are newly finding your way, or have been at it for years, join us for a workshop with people from all sides of the policymaking process to learn how you too can have your voice heard in our democracy. Learn how to take your interest and turn it into action!

Panelists include:
Reiny Cohen | Dir. of Communications for WA Low Income Housing Alliance, Program Director for Institute for a Democratic Future, co-host of Election University Podcast
Emma Palumbo | Legislative Assistant at the WA House of Representatives
Brady Piñero Walkinshaw | CEO of Grist, former State Representative

Attendance is free and open to all GSBA members.

Please contact Eric Moss to RSVP for this event.
