We provide access to films by, for, and about LGBTQ2+ people and their families and a forum for LGBTQ2+ filmmakers to share and discuss their work with audiences.
OVERVIEW & IMPACT
The unpaid Development and Events intern position provides learning and professional development opportunities for someone entering the non-profit/development field. This internship works with the Development Manager in the organizing of donors, donations, tracking databases, and event sponsors. Provides event support prior to and during Translations 2021: May 6-9.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
Reports to the Development Manager
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Donor Database Cleaning
● Assist in Thanking Donor process
● Assist the Development Manager in donor tracking, database organization, and auditing of our database DonorPerfect
● Record and track donor and sponsor lead information
● Maintain donor and department files, including development materials & promotional materials
● Conduct research on potential donors/foundations/grants
● Assist the development manager in planning & promoting events
● Assist with community outreach engaging with local business to obtain sponsorships and donations
● Other duties as assigned
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Interest in non-profit Development/Fundraising
● Strong computer software skills, specifically in Microsoft Excel, Word, Canva, and databases (experience with DonorPerfect is a plus but not required)
● Ability to take initiative, show good judgement, and manage projects from beginning to end
● Strong attention to detail, effective communication skills and a flexible attitude
● Experience in and keen sense of Customer Service industry
