Supplier Diversity and LGBTBE Certification is more and more coming to the forefront within the corporate landscape as well as various city, county and federal agencies. In Washington State, we are challenging elected officials to include LGBTBEs in their supply chain. Identifying your LGBTQ+, women- and/or minority-owned business through national diversity supplier certification adds value to your business by providing another channel through which to market your products or services.

GSBA is an affiliate of the NGLCC, our partner in certification, and we continue to support LGBTQ+ owned businesses to become LGBTBE certified and connect them to supplier diversity officers and procurement departments who understand that equality is good business.

We have created a pathway for you to learn more about being LGBTBE Certified and opportunities to put your certification to the test starting with these two-part workshops:

February 8, 9am-10am:
Part 1: What is Supplier Diversity & How to Get Certified
In this introduction workshop, our CEO & President Ilona Lohrey will introduce you to the idea of supplier diversity and how to get certified.

Ilona will be joined by Stacie Harwood, Sr. Program Manager, Supplier Diversity, who will share insights into why certification is important and how it can benefit any business.

February 15 from 9am-10:30am
Part 2:Capability Statements & I'm Certified, Now What?

In this 2nd half of these virtual workshops, Ilona will cover some of the industry lingo you'll need to pitch your business, how to find your industry codes, how to identify the best corporations to partner with for your business, how to write a capability statement, and more.
