The Senior Marketing Manager, Social Media and Influencer will oversee two important and rapidly evolving marketing functions at Brooks – Social Media and Influencer Marketing.  You will work together with the Social Media team and internal partners to evolve our Social Media programming in the US, and, through key learnings, craft a global strategy in conjunction with our partners.   The Social Media team has developed our channel strategy and implemented commerce across platforms, and it is functioning beautifully. Next steps are to further develop our content and community building work, harnessing the passion runners have for our brand and their love of the sport to have conversations with them and deliver fun, inspiring moments to get-to-know Brooks.  You will be the perfect complement to their team, with creative courage, a passion for social, and an eye on the future of technology and online consumer behavior that will take our programs to the next level.
 
You will also lead the Global Influencer Marketing Strategy and US execution of all programming. Brooks has a history of recognizing the value in creating long-lasting relationships with athletes, coaches, teams and runners and we believe there is nothing more impactful and complimentary than a runner advocating on behalf of our brand. To date, Brooks has partnerships with an amazing group of gifted and passionate runners, who embody everything the sport and Run Happy lifestyle means.  You will have the important task of fostering these programs and relationships while investigating what the future may hold in who we partner with, how we structure our work together and why its meaningful and important to building brand and business.  The perfect candidate will use experience and creative thinking to take a great thing and grow it in a way that is authentic to Brooks.  

 

Responsibilities:

    • Social Media:
    •  
    • Lead global strategy and North America execution in partnership with the social media teams in region
    • Drive a holistic global social media channel strategy that takes into account brand & product representation
    • Lead, coach and develop the social media team.  
    • With your deep understanding of social paid media strategy & using data, drive decision making
    • Drive strong insight into the correlation between media spend to drive revenue goals and deliver the business
    • Partner with the media buying teams (internal and agency) to build test and learn opportunities that drive meaningful takeaways that evolve our platform, content and commerce strategy
    • Understand the running community and the topics that resonate with runners; use key insight to work with Millennial/25-35-year-old audience.
    • Use and understand social analytics and reporting for the channels to make meaningful connections between our community and online behavior – bringing data and insights to support decision making.
    • Develop community listening and management strategy that services the business and engages the community holistically – recognizing the intersection of press, online influencers and community

    • Drive definition, formalization and evolution of Brooks global influencer strategy
    • Partner across the organization to understand all influencer touch points and current programming to maximize opportunities across marketing functions and within existing relationships  
    • Use currently underway research findings to help inform strategy and develop test and learnrecommendations based on these insights
    • Establish globally relevant KPIs for influencer marketing programming
    • Evaluate IRM tools and research and recommendation a tool which is right for our brand

Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree.
    • 10 years’ experience in social media for a consumer brand, agency experience required.
    • Ability to build and lead highly-functional teams with a track record in developing talent.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
    • Strong project management skills with a demonstrated track record of managing projects where expectations and deliverables may be ambiguous
    • Understanding of SEO and ability to drive social SEO strategy.
    • Proficiency in data analysis; understanding of A/B testing as well as related analytics tools
    • Sound business acumen; ability to think strategically and influence others to adopt new ideas
    • Creative thinker who is constantly looking for new ways to interact with our audience to illustrate how we Run Happy and stay on-trend with in social communities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire and build trust resulting in effective working relationships across the company and our external partners.
    • Ability to present with confidence to key stakeholders and executives monthly.
    • Demonstration of initiative and innovation – always looking at improving our presence and processes while also displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary.
