ABOUT YOUTHCARE: YouthCare works to end youth homelessness and to ensure that young people are valued for who he yare and empowered to achieve their potential. YouthCare works with homeless youth, ages 12-24, to provide a continuum of care that includes homelessness prevention, street outreach, basic services, emergency shelter, housing, counseling, education, and employment training.Founded in 1974 as a three-bed emergency shelter program, our continuum now operates across nine locations and a variety of community-based partnerships. YouthCare is a leader locally and across the country in serving runaway and homeless youth.
ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENT TEAM: YouthCare’s Development Team provides young people and staff at YouthCare with the support and items young people need to get off the streets and prepare for life. The team is responsible for fundraising, community engagement, external communications, public policy work, volunteer and in-kind donation management, and much more!
POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Director of Community Engagement, the Group Projects and In-Kind Coordinator will engage and steward groups of volunteers and drive hosts, manage and sustain in-kind items, and serve as a consistent, mission-focused and professional ambassador for YouthCare.
