GSBA Resources And You

With each new year comes a new checklist for Seattle business owners. Getting all your ducks in a row while managing overhead and operations can feel overwhelming. During the hustle and bustle of making sure your ‘i’s are dotted and your ‘t’s are crossed it’s easy to fall victim to some of the more predatory practices targeting business owners online.

Among the most frequent of these practices are ads promoting that updated Office of Labor Standards posters are available for a fee. These posters should be updated each year and while this is a legal requirement in the city of Seattle, business owners should never pay out of pocket for them. GSBA aims to be a resource for business owners across the entire greater Seattle area and will happily deliver up to date workplace posters entirely free of charge.

A simple google query of “Seattle 2023 workplace posters” brings up links to several paid sites that promise posters that are offered for free on King County’s website. You can find their resource and poster list here. Business owners are welcome to print these posters at no cost though many lack the equipment to print in the required size of 11inx17in

GSBA also offers many free resources to members and Seattle-based business owners. You can find a full catalogue of services provided here. If you’d like more info on any of these resources, a complimentary one-on-one business consultation, or you’d just like a new OLS poster delivered to your door you can contact me at rivert@thegsba.org or schedule time with me here!
