GSBA Scholars Celebration is back! Our most powerful (and colorful🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️) gathering where community, education, and donor impact come together! 🎉✨ This annual event shines the spotlight on GSBA’s LGBTQ+ and allied scholars who are breaking barriers and shaping the future.
Enjoy a heartfelt program led by local community leader Aleksa Manila, a delicious brunch, and the chance to celebrate the impact that donors and scholars are making in the community at large. Remember, without your support GSBA couldn’t provide critical scholarships and mentorship opportunities for scholars.

Social activist by day, socialite by night, Aleksa Manila is a celebrated drag personality and community leader. Originally from Manila, Philippines, she now calls Seattle home.
A sought-after emcee, speaker, and performer, Aleksa is known for her smart, sassy stage presence and dedication to social justice and advocacy. In 2012, she founded Pride ASIA, celebrating and empowering LGBTQ+ communities through an Asian Pacific Islander lens.
Offstage, Aleksa is a Program Manager at Public Health – Seattle & King County, focusing on health disparities in marginalized communities. With over 16 years in behavioral health and social services, she continues to be a force for change.
