Welcome GSBA’s Communications Specialist: Coe Clausen (they/them)

While cuffing season might be over, the love is still going strong here at GSBA – and we’ve got some incredible new hires to prove it! Let’s give a warm welcome to Coe Clausen (they/them), the latest addition to the team, stepping into the role of Communications Specialist.

With over six years of experience in business writing, marketing strategy, social media management, and more, Coe brings a unique blend of skills and passion to this position. Before joining GSBA, Coe left their mark as a freelance writer and contributing writer/editor for respected publications like GayCities and Voices of Disability Economic Justice.

“As much as I loved freelancing, joining the GSBA was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up. Our missions align so closely, and this role allows me to continue the work I love in a more impactful way.”

Outside their work as GSBA’s Communication Specialist, Coe is a creative-of-all-trades. They have a poetry chapbook publishing this year with Bottlecap Press, are recording their debut EP, and have several art pieces scheduled to show in exhibitions across the country. They’re also looking forward to exploring Seattle more, adding:

“I moved from Spokane to Seattle in 2020 to explore the city’s bigger and more vibrant music and art scene. The pandemic had other plans, so I’m just now getting out and finding my footing in this amazing city!”

In their new role at GSBA, Coe is excited to use their diverse skill set and unwavering dedication to advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community, boosting our communication efforts along the way. With Coe on board, GSBA members can expect fresh perspectives, compelling content, and an unwavering commitment to excellence in serving our community.

We’re so excited to have you here, Coe! Welcome to the team.
