We are excited to welcome Nick Davenport (He/Him) to our team as our Scholarship Giving Manager! Nick joins our fundraising team, helping to raise money to support our Scholarship and Education Program! Born and raised in Edmonds, and with two degrees from Seattle Pacific University, Nick is excited to dive into the role and explore our local community.

“I have a history of fundraising and working with and advocating for young people.  This felt like the perfect step to use the skills I already have to help a community I care deeply about.  I’m passionate about education as a way for people to know themselves and their world better and ultimately grow into people who impact that world for good.  I’m all in to help people do that!”

When he’s not fundraising for students, you can find Nick working out at a body pump class in the morning with all his favorite local moms and grandmas and playing board games and sipping delicious wine with his friends most nights of the week. Pairing delicious cheeses with even better wines is a fun hobby and a way to help people feel invited to a table . I love all of our local wineries and I’m especially excited to work with all of our amazing GSBA wine partners!  The wine industry in our state is booming and these are some of the businesses that invite people to come together around something delicious and provide so much for our communities!

Nick is excited to work with the other businesses on the chamber side of the GSBA as well, getting familiar with more of our local LGBTQ+ and allied small business members and strengthening the bond between those business and fundraising communities even more.

“I love nothing more than inviting people into stories that are beautiful and good.  In working to raise funds for the GSBA Scholarship & Education Program I get to help people join something that is bigger than themselves and make a real impact on the future of so many young scholars.  The opportunity to bring people more into the community and show them all of the ways to do good gets me fired up.”
