This past Tuesday, February 18th, GSBA took over the Kraken Community Iceplex for an unforgettable night at our All-Skate Power Connect event, sponsored by Symetra. With a perfect mix of fun, skating, and a whole lot of pride, it was a night to remember. If you missed it, don’t worry—we’ve got all the highlights right here!
First off, we were beyond grateful for the incredible support we received from everyone who came up to us throughout the night. So many people shared how much they appreciated GSBA being an out and proud LGBTQ+ organization. Your kind words reminded us exactly why we do what we do, and it made the event even more special. Thank you for making us feel so seen!
The night got even more exciting when Buoy, the Kraken’s beloved mascot, made a surprise appearance! We also broke the ice with an exclusive 2025 Kraken Pride Jersey raffle, designed by the amazing artist Kelly Bjork. All proceeds benefited the GSBA Scholarship & Education Fund, making that jersey even more of a win!
And let’s not forget the skating itself! There were spins, tumbles, and some seriously smooth moves on the rink. For those who didn’t opt to get on ice skates, we had plenty of other ice games, hot chocolate, and fun to go around. It was especially heartwarming to see folks gliding around with their adorable seal skating training buddies—we couldn’t get enough of those cute moments!
When the skating wrapped up, the fun didn’t stop there. We headed over to 32 Bar & Grill, where GSBA members enjoyed a 10% discount on dinner. A perfect way to keep the connections going while fueling up for the next adventure!
