Will or Living Trust
One of the simplest ways to create a lasting impact is by including GSBA in your will or living trust. A bequest allows you to support GSBA’s work while maintaining flexibility in your estate plans.
Your gift may be designated to support GSBA’s greatest need or directed toward a specific program or initiative.
We recommend working with your attorney or estate planning professional to include GSBA in your estate plans.
Sample Cash Bequest Language:
I give to GSBA (Greater Seattle Business Association), a Washington nonprofit organization, the sum of $______ to be used for its general charitable purposes.
Sample Bequest of Percentage of Estate:
I give to GSBA (Greater Seattle Business Association) ___% of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate, both real and personal, to be used for its general charitable purposes.
Gifts of Specific Property
If your planned gift includes specific assets—such as life insurance policies, real estate, stock, or other property—your estate planning document should include a clear description of those assets. Your attorney or advisor can help ensure the appropriate language is included.
Retirement Account
You can name GSBA as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other retirement plan. For many donors, this can be a simple and tax-efficient way to make a future gift.
Life Insurance
You may choose to name GSBA as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy, or transfer ownership of a policy as part of your charitable plans.
Charitable Trust
Charitable trusts can provide support for GSBA while also helping you meet personal financial and estate planning goals. Your attorney or financial advisor can help determine whether this option is right for you.
