Welcome Anna Morris, GSBA’s New Fundraising Support Specialist
GSBA recently welcomed Anna Morris (she/her) to the team as the new Fundraising Support Specialist. Anna is working with the Scholarship team to build fundraising campaigns, manage donor communications, and help plan and execute GSBA’s fundraising events. With a background in nonprofit marketing and fundraising, Anna brings both a data-oriented and creative approach to giving at GSBA.
Anna’s passion for social justice and youth education drew her to this role. Growing up, she was lucky enough to participate in programs focused on empowering young women and gender minorities, particularly in the male-dominated field of filmmaking. That experience—alongside attending a historically women’s college—gave her invaluable tools to navigate the “real world” and a deep understanding of how critical it is for all marginalized people to have access to these kinds of opportunities.
“I believe uplifting young people is the way to make our world a better place. When students who face institutional barriers have a network of support and are encouraged to be their full selves, they pave the way for so many others,” she shared. “I am really excited to bolster this scholarship program that supports LGBTQ+ leaders as they begin their academic and career journeys, especially at a time when the community is especially vulnerable.”

Outside of work, Anna spends time making music—both singing in a local choir and playing guitar at home. She lives with her fluffy cat, Violet, and enjoys watching movies, crafting, and discussing pop culture.
Anna is looking forward to connecting with donors, scholars, and the broader GSBA community! Reach out to her at [email protected] if you’d like to learn more about giving to the GSBA Scholarship Fund.
